XJ Accident damage
My XJ got hit - hard enough to push across a lane but without much panel damage. My insurance have estimated $8k to repair so want to make me an offer
I am over in France and it would cost $180 to tow it to a repair shop just for an estimate so looking for any advice...
Pics are here
From what I can tell, tyre was burst, axle is off centre, rear driveshaft came out of transfer case, leaf spring is broken, sway bar has come free, parking brake not working and brakes feel spongy.
I was thinking of replacing just the spring first and having it tested by an expert. Should I replace springs in pairs? Any thoughts on axle itself? And the drive shaft - do they just 'slot back in'? I can get complete set of spares locally but only want to buy the minimum in case there is some hidden chassis damage...
or am I completely mad and should just part it out?
thanks in advance

everything else moved when the spring broke
get a junkyard spring to get it back together and check the brake lines
if the driveshaft isn't damaged, it should just slide back into the transfer case
see how it drives
if the hit was hard enough to break the spring it may have bent the axle shaft or damaged the differential
