Wrong parts on brake rotor/pad replacement?
Replaced brake rotors and pads on my son's xj last night. When we put the wheels back on the axle locked up. Took the wheels off and tightened the lug nut on the rotors, and the axle locked up. This was on both sides. Could the pads be too thick or the rotor too thin? What am I missing?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Had the same issue. It was the rotor that was incorrect in my case. The distance from the pad surface to the face that contacts the wheel was about .125" and therefore knocked everything up when all bolted together. Take the new rotor and compare to the old and you might find the problem. Good luck.
