Default Wrong Flywheel?? NEED HELP!!

got a 98' XJ limited, swapped in a new flywheel. now the old flywheel has rectangle slots on that little ring that is welded on the flywheel. and the new one has the same slots but there apear to be fatter or wider so to say. now all bolted up it wont start. did i just put in the wrong flywheel? i dont want to take out the trans again to get the right one. is there any way around this?? NEED HELP. thanks.

It sounds like it is the wrong one, that is a tone ring that the cps is looking at for timing and injectors,if it is not the same it will not run.
