pull your shocks
drop steering
drop track bar
drop swaybar

You might be able to get the coil low enough to put the spacers in. If all else fails, just start pulling parts loose till you can slip them in. Thats what i did the first time i started playin with jeep suspension. Very straight forward. Your steering wheel will probably be a little crooked.

1.) Use spring compressor, compress spring.
2.) unbolt shocks from axle (can leave tops bolted in).
3.) Unhook swaybar
4.) Unbolt calipers and hang from piece of coat hanger to not hurt hose.
5.) Pry down on axle till spring comes out.
6.) Reverse to install.

Simple. No need to touch the track-bar or anything else.

if your get the sway bar and shocks out of the way. the axle will move down enough to unload the springs and get them out. pull the snubbers and unbolt the holders. slip the factory isolaters off and install the spacers. piece of cake. did it in about two hours.

Not with mine and 3" springs. Still needed to compress them, even the first time I did one with the steering unbolted.

i know any time you mess with the springs it can be a little freaky. it's real easy. basic tools and a couple hours. if you get the front end up high enough you wont have any trouble. of course use stands, dont trust the jack alone. i did not unhook any steering or brake lines. if your stock right now the springs will unload once you get the sway bar end links and shocks disconnected. you will have to do one side at a time so the axle will move more. make sure you get the springs back in the buckets right, there is a notch in it and a hold down.

thats very true, longer springs. but to get the factory springs out, i didnt use a compresser. could be mine was a bit worn.
