Hey guys,

I know this has probably been discussed but,

My main question right now is about my 1999 XJ.
I am about to drop a 3" lift in it (already bought it) and I am thinking about ditching the stock rims for some that I found from a friend. So will the Rims from a 2006 Wrangler (17" or 18") , these are 18" with P255 70R 18, fit. I have been doing some research and it looks like they still have the 5X4.5 pattern and then from 2007 on it went to the 5X5 pattern.

Anyone have any experience with this/ know if this will work out?
So obviously if the bolt pattern is the same I know they might mount but my other concern is the rubbing or whatever. Will I need wheel spacers or other modifications?

and lastly do you guys think it will look half decent?

Hard to say without knowing the backspacing. I wouldn't run 18" rims personally.

check your tire pricing too.. around these parts 15 in tires are selling at a premium anymore. 16 or 17's are reasonably priced, also check your backspacing on those wheels you bought as was said before.. no more than
4.5 in i would think... depending on how much you dont want to trim those fenders...

yea the 18's might look a bit goofy. Havent bought them yet. just interested. i believe the backspacing would be the 4.5 maybe. Think it might be more reasonable to get 17s or 16s from a Wrangler or an older Grand Cherokee?

Does a 32" tire (255/70/18) have sufficient clearance with a 3" lift? How wide is the 18" rim? What is it's back spacing (stock XJ is 5.25")? It must have a 4.5" bolt circle/pattern in order to be mounted to the XJ hub. Time to get the tape measure out and eliminate the guess work. 18" rim might look kinda cool.

how much is he asking? because for $200 you can get a set of steelies from les schwab
15x8 and 4" back space
way better looking and way more functional. best option

oh yeah, and anything taller than 16 is too tall to be useful
