Sorry for the dumb question but I've read a load of threads and my head is spinning!

Also, it's hard to find the brands over here that you guys use in the USA.

So, would this be right for an XJ with an AW4 trans?

I didn't know there was any Dex2 left. MY 99 XJ says to use Dex3. I wouldn't go backwards to Dex2.
In fact, just did trans service again on my XJ and used Dex6.
