Default Would you run these cracked buckshot mudders?

I'm not sure how long they've been on my rig but they're cracked in between the treads. The side walls look alright. I'm gonna be doing some daily driving and off roading with them. Need help decided whether to ditch them or not! Theres some guy thats got some Dick Cepek Bone Crushers that are pretty new he is trying to sell me...any word on those?

You're probably fine as long as your not taking a long trip on the highway at high speed. JMO

What they said.

If those are less than 12 years old, I'd be shocked.

Run them but keep an eye out for tire separation.

I'd keep them for offroad only. A tractor tire can get that weather checked (aka, dry rot) and still be useful but automotive tires are not anywhere near as thick and stout as a tractor tire. Weather checking this bad is not safe. These tires are at risk of blowout and that puts you...not to mention other people on the road and your passengers...at risk.

The cost is hard to bear sometimes but nothing is as important as tires.

ive seen worse, but be very careful. look on the sidewall, there should be a 12 digit DOT number. the last 2 numbers are the year they were made. tires use oils that after 10 years, are pretty much gone causing the tire to be brittle which will cause blow outs. if it were my rig, id put new tires on. it will save you from being stranded on the trail. ask me how i know

that was 2 years ago with some crappy 33" STTs i found on craigslist. ran them just for the weekend and blew them out on a small tree branch. granted they were only 2 ply tires but still..

Thanks for the input! I think I am gonna go ahead and see if I can get a deal on those Dick Cepeks, I just want to be able to drive everywhere and anywhere and not have to worry about a blow out.
