Default Would a TCU fry a TPS if it was bad?

I have had trany problems and i finally fixxed the problem it was the TPS and when i put the new one in it shifted fine for a few days then it started acting up again so i got another one, worked for a couple days and its acting up again. Could the TPS be getting ruind if the TCU is bad, and if it is bad would the TCU work till it ruined the TPS?

A shorted TPS could hurt the module, but I would suspect bad wiring first.

The throttle position sensor for 87-90 needs to be ADJUSTED upon installation. Can't just install it.

Did you adjust the new TPS?

If not, START THERE.
