I'm about 90% sure that this is what is causing my shaking when coming to a stop down from 40+ mph ( The shaking is definately radiating out from the back right wheel) . I've never had to deal with sway bar bushings before so I'll probably end up getting an estimate from a shop around here. But any insiight into whether this is the culprate and/or if this is a it DIY job or what i should expect to pay to have both sides replaced.

let me know if this is in the wrong part of the forum thanks for any comments or thoughts

The purpose of the sway bar is to prevent lateral movement of the body relative to the suspension (ie "body roll").
I doubt very seriously that your sway bar bushings have anything at all to do with shaking while braking. Most likely a brake problem.
If you want to change them anyway, you can get the bushings very cheaply at just about any parts house. Just undo the 4 bolts that hold the bar up (no need to undo the ends), lower the bar and swap the bushings. Should be a 30 minute job, max. I'm sure you'll find the vibration is still there, afterwards though.

Yeah your sway bar bushings wouldn't cause that. And DEFINITELY don't pay someone to do it for you. It's a few bolts and the job is done. Simple stuff.
Does this vibration ever occur when just accelerating or cruising?

No...I try to not to use the term death wobble because it def has something to do with breaking...looks like over Thanksgiving i'll be jacking it up and taking a look at the breaks again. Thanks for saving me the money though guys...just ordered a pair of rear bushings for 13.99

Not sure bout these Jeeps though I know my Dodge had a couple/few different options for size of swaybar for some odd reason and I remember having to measure it with some calipers to get OD size where the bushings go. Again, something rather easy to do.

We actually had some shaking while braking (lol) on our service truck which is an 05 F350 2wd, and the rotors were fine. Was indeed a bad swaybar bushing. Very odd...

if you think its coming from the back right or rear passenger i dont think you have rotors. unless theyre aftermarket. i would say check both rears. make sure all your bolts are tight in control arms in the front and leafs in the back. all easy stuff before you move to something more difficult.

Well if you can see the from the picture the back right bushing which was completely shot I was able to change out last night...but I wasn't able to start on the back left plus I figured if i take some good picks it would be a decent upload to show how to remove rear bushings on a 17 year old vehicle with stocks still on them. The bushings turn to stone and have to be cut off the bar. Not to mention changing the sway bar is kinda tough with near shot suspension.
Anyways the shaking has decreased signifcantly on a little test drive I took, I took at a look at that back right rotor and either i'm not sure how to look for warped rotors but the only things I can see is the intentional diagonal scoring on the rotor itself, no gouges. I'm going to change the other side tonight and see if maybe the problem is over there.
But I have just a couple more questions relating to working on the rear end. While I was under there I'n starting to get a bit of a passion for working on this thing. My parents bought it new in 96 and i've been driving since I got back from overseas a few years back after joining the Army and I'm kind of attached to it now so. Changing Shocks and Springs looks to be easy on the rear. Opinions? and will i need to get it aligned right after?
Thanks ago for all your input hope i can get a few uploads of the work i'm doing to it, to maybe help someone else out with just OEM replacements.
