Default Is it worth it?

I know, I know....another rust thread this week...but seriously. I have an 01 XJ with 165k. Motor runs strong, pulls 25-50psi oil pressure all the time and compression is 160-165 on all six with a new Clearwater head. I plan on keeping it for quite a while and this time next year it will not be a DD. The pictures are the only rust I have found thus far. Have not pulled the carpet completely out yet. Can I get suggestions on if its would be worthless to pay to have distributed repaired right with new metal or sand everything down and do OD green?.
Thanks

Lower rockers and floors need replacing. The roof....that's an odd spot for rust on a XJ.. Does it leak?

It's a nice looking XJ though.

No leak on the roof. Most the xjs I've seen bubble there.

Is there enough meat to do the rockers nicely? Floors I planned on getting new panels.

I've done a few rockers that looked like that and from experience once you get into the work you'll find a lot more rust.
Might as well get replacements if your willing to do it.
Took me about 4 hours a side.. Doors off and a lot of drilling out spot welds and chiseling.

Would it be easier to install 2x6 rectangle steel for rockers?

Yea it's a lot easier. A lot of people go that route on trail rigs.
Just cut to fit and weld it in.
If you are gonna use them as slides then best to add some bracing.

That Jeep has way too much cancer to get professionally repaired and keep costs within reason. You are better off going the OD green route..
