Default Worse then a 400 turbo...
Is there any way to fix the automatic in my XJ where it wont shift out on its on into 2nd gear when its pulled all the way back? I dont like a transmission that shifts out on its on so if this can be done, let me know please.

Its doable, you have to hook up some switches. Ill try to find a writeup for you...

look in my pics under tech there are some simple switch diagrams to manual shift the trans

Funny, I had mine in first today and it never shifted on it own out of 1st even though it has 1-2 on the indicator.

In one motion go from park straight back to first and it should stay in first gear.Works for me

I thought I heard if you go directly from Park to 1-2 it will stay in 1st?!?
