Haven't started jeep for about 6 months won't start this is what is happening

Only cranks in neutral
Gauges won't engage
Have a jump box hooked up cause the battery is dead
Has gas
Starter and alternator are new

Neutral safety has problems I know last year I was starting it in neutral fine.

Thanks in advance

You should rebuild or replace the NSS. Lots of posts on the forum detailing a quick rebuild. Eventually neutral will wear out also since the problem is bad contacts inside the switch. Park gets used a lot, but neutral is usually not used and therefore usually works. If you've been using it a lot you may have the same issue now in neutral.

I agree with Cheddarnut. They are pretty easy to rebuild. The hardest thing to do is removing it without braking it. They can very break easy if they have never been removed.
