I just started 10 minutes ago and now wont start. It's cranking fine, the battery is fine and there is gas in it.
However the last day or so when it would start it idle real rough by quickly idled normal after a few seconds.
Any ideas?

 

CPS? Fuel pressure? I would start there...

 

So I left it alone for a few hours, I had to go see my newly born nephew. when I got back and turned the key and the damn thing started right up.
I didn't check anything since I didn't have time but do you have any other ideas as to what made it not start that time?

 

Heat soak on the injectors

 

id throw a vote for o2 sensor. upstream. CEL on/have you put it on a code reader?

not starting isnt necessarily the o2, though.. as ken said, heat soak is possible.. clean grounds, battery leads, sensors, good cap/rotor, plugs/wires?

hows fuel filter look?

Causes predetonation.., I believe, the fuel combusts, or at least turns to gas (literally from liquid to gas change) before the cylinder hits tdc.. Or maybe before it leaves the injector.. Please don't take this as 100% accurate.. Someone will chime in soon..

 

It's before it leaves the injector. The fuel atomizes and turns into a gas vapor

 

So it's like a vapor lock?
