I replaced my alternator. then my jeep wouldnt start because my oring going to my fuel rail was busted. i didnt realize that so i started messing with the spark plug wires. I then fixed the o ring. it started. but then i had started messing with the spark plugs wires. i set it up to where there was a big BOOM! i kept switching them up. i hve spark and fuel. it was just running. but now i cant even get a back fire from switching them around. any one have even a clue?!?! the diagrams i find are ridiculous and i cant find the number one spark plug location on the cap.

thank you for that diagram! v6 or I6? when did cherokees have a v6? did they? its an i6. i waited overnight to try starting it again when i got home rom work. It now fired one cylinder just once. so now i at least have a responce. i picked up new plugs on my way home from work so i will throw those in there soon and see what happens. i will also use that diagram freegdr thank you!
Here's something that happened to me. I had the order slightly incorrect, it ran rough, I shut it down, it didn't even turn over after that, only heard the click of the starter engaging. We touched a voltmeter to the battery to test it & it started right up after that.
