Won't shift and slow acceleration
I am wondering if anyone has some ideas about this. This has been like this for about 6 months. I have adjusted the throttle cable every way I can (only slight improvement but not much), I have replaced the TPS (didn't make a difference, the old one must have been fine). Still, when I have the gas pedal floored it won't up-shift. I have to let off the gas to get it to shift. The acceleration is slow (takes about 20 seconds to get to 50mph). There is plenty of power, no other noticable problems but that. The only fixes I can find are replacing this tps and adjusting the throttle cable (where you push the button down) but these didn't do anything. It's a '97 Cherokee Sport 4.0 Auto 4wd. I'll attach a video.

Dont know. Bad gas? When did this start happening? When was its last tuneup? Have you checked the transmission fluid/level? Check the fuel pressure and compression. Look for any vacuum leaks. Just because. You could disconnect the cat and run it as it may be plugged up a bit. Like said, i dont know.
