If a SYE has been installed enough may not of been grinded of the rod that slides the furthest out and it hits the case. You can pull the nose cone and grind it some with it in the case...From memory, i think there is a smaller cover or filler plug you can remove and see the end of the rod. remove that and see if it helps to
