wiring nightmares
New to this forum and i just bought a 1984 jeep today, full on knowing the task ahead of me off making the lights work. but someone had the idea of jerry rigging it terribly a while ago. So my problem is that when using turn signals, both front ones comes on and stay on, rear works fine, and when headlights are turned on, tail lights work but headlights dont. it had a new turn signal switch i just put in. But the way it has been wired they cut off the plug that goes to the dimmer switch and put it to a switch in the dash, because the turn signal lever is broke. So my question is should i just go to a junkyard and pull all the good wiring from another jeep that has to do with head lights, and how do i remove the turn signal lever? i have all the covers off the steering column already. i can get pictures to if thatd help. thanks
