Default Wiring headache

I have a 97 xj sport

having an issue where interior accessories (radio, wipers, electric windows) stay on all the time no matter the position of the key.

checked the ignition wiring. As far as I can see it’s all good there. Checked the radio wiring. The 12v switch wire is getting constant 12v.

wondering if there is a main relay for the whole interior where it isn’t switching or if there is something creating this issue

any help or pointers are greatly appreciated

I don't believe there is a relay, just the ignition switch itself.

My guess would be the switch itself or wiring.

okay so do you have a pin out of the switch of what each wire should be reading on the ignition switch

I wouldn’t be surprised if it is bad because the barrel is so worn my key doesn’t stay in

I feel like the diagram's labelled wrong as pin 8 on the first diagram is Run/Acc whereas the pinout says Run/Start.

You shouldn't see power on all of those pins in the Off position as that would have your ignition and starter constantly on which you don't.

Check pin 8 for 12v with the key in Off, it shouldn't have anything but I bet it will.

The best way to check the switch would be to unplug the wires from it and check for continuity between pins 7 & 8 on the switch itself in Off and when unplugged, check pin 8 on the harness to see if it's at 0V. If you have continuity on 7 & 8 and 0V on the harness then it points right at the switch.
