i can’t seem to figure out the wiring, the PO cut the old wiring so now when I try to attach the new wire harness by each wire I can’t get power to the radio

Do the original wire colors match up to the new radio? I'm sorry, I'm colorblind so I can't tell by the pictures.

You can always put a continuity tester on the original wire that you believe to be the power wire and verify that you're getting power.

A wiring diagram from the Factory Service Manual for your year would probably be a big help. You should be able to find it online or at an XJ Facebook group.

match the diagram from the new radio, to the diagram for the stock wiring. you can google your year jeep and there is diagrams for the original wiring. ALSO: make sure you check your fuses. i had that issue. i had it all wired good, but it wouldn't turn on, changed the fuse and bam i was good

What was the "resolution" (or in other words, what did you figure out?)
