Wire Broke Off In Window Motor
I am having issues with my 87 Laredo driver window not working. When I removed the door panel I saw that the yellow wire that goes into the motor had broke off. I had a similar issue with the blue wire a few years ago but there was no wire left in the motor and I just added a connecter and shoved it up there.
I know the motor works because i was able to touch the yellow wire to the little piece sticking out and the window worked but only for a little while. Now the window is all the way down and nothing I do makes it work. I want to remove the piece that is stuck and add a connector to the yellow wire like I did the blue one.
I can't get the yellow wire piece in the motor to come out. I've tried every needle nose type tool I have. Any other suggestions?

There are two pins at the front of the motor. Use something to push them from the backside and once they are pushed out far enough you can grab them from the front with pliers and pull them out. Unplug the motor and you can slid the whole housing off.
You will see some bent tabs on the backside that can be bent out so the back of the motor comes off with the brushes inside. Test continuity from your good wire to the bushes to figure out which one it's connected to. Now clean a portion of the other brush wire and feed a new wire through one of the holes in the back of the motor housing and solder it on and reassemble. Viola!
Just had to do this to my driver window motor. Hope it helps.

Where are the pins and tabs?

It seems from your writeup that I can remove the motor without much trouble. I guess it should be obvious to me where the pins and tabs are but just not seeing it. Any additional guidance you can give would be much appreciated.
Thanks!

Does anyone have anymore information on this? I have a 1991 Cherokee and both my wires are broken off flush against the motor and I'd like to solder them back on. If anyone could provide a picture of the pins or something that'd be great.

Oh, that's ugly.
Unless you can kind of cut that out a bit, I don't think you are going to be able to salvage that.

Well I've been trying to look into what JeepDeep was talking about but I've had no luck, I also Pm'd him with no answer so far. If anyone could elaborate on what he was talking about that'd be excellent
