Ok. I have tried searching but no worky on my phone. Not sure why. Anyways....I have a 96 XJ 4.0 auto. My wipers and washer pump stopped working this morning. So I thought....blown fuse. Wrong. After looking in my manual its a circuit breaker. 5.5 amp is what the book says. I pull it out and it says on it 4.8. Looks old. Took the metal cover off. Can't really tell if its bad or not. Not like a fuse. I do not know what I'm looking at really. Anyways napa knew nothing. So off to Mopar. $20 for a new one and it won't be here till tomorrow. Any one seen this before? Or had it happen? Just curious. I'm hoping it fixes it. I read that they reset themselves over time. So I left it out for awhile as well as in the car for a bit. No luck. Any way to tell its bad? Or any other reason for my wipers and washer pump not to work? Wiring seem perfect. No loose wires and no corrosion...I cleaned some off.

Not sure what you mean. Wipers didn't work at all. No speed worked. But when looking the fuses up this circuit breaker controls both the wipers and the washer pump for the windshield. If that helps.

Well new circuit breaker worked. At first it didn't....not sure why. But I pulled it out again...checked the wires. Then plugged it back in and the wipers started to work. Washer fluid sprays out like it should. So I'm happy. Glad it works.
