Default Windshield sprayer does not work

Ok, so i have a 1994 Cherokee 4.0 and the front sprayer one day stopped working. my windshield wipers, rear wiper, and rear sprayer all work. when i push the sprayer paddle on the steering column forward nothing happens. when i roll it back to the mist, the wipers come on but no sprayer.

i do not get any noise when i push either of these items on the steering column. so i pulled the front motor off and tested it with direct power from the battery, it worked just fine. plugged it in, and nothing...still does not work. i checked the fuses under the drivers side in the cab and the ones under the hood on the passenger side, all good. now i am baffled. i dont have a leak any where, and the motor works when direct power is applied to it. where else could the problem be? really wish these worked cause it is hard as hell to get mud off the window without them working.

Did you put a multimeter across the contacts in the wiring harness and test for voltage? If there's no voltage, you have a break somewhere or the contacts are dirty/corroded.

wire it up to a push button and mount it on the dash somewhere.

Mine does the same thing, my multifunction switch is toast. I swapped the hoses and use the rear wiper button to spray the windshield.

ok, so the wife went to the store to get a new battery for my multi meter, so i found out something else. when i remove the connector to the pump for the windshield, the wipers work when pressing the paddle backwards on the steering column turn signal stick. but when plugged in niether the pump or the wipers function...WTF!!!
