Default Windshield replacement near Philly

Hey guys, about 7 months ago I cracked my windshield attempting to load a kayak into my jeep... Well last night I was pulled over for expired tags because I cant pass inspection with a cracked windshield. I've been told before a place around me that will replace for around $120. I've called safelite and their quote was just under $300. Does any one have any recommendations on where to go? I live about 15 mins north of Philly in Langhorne. Thanks in advance!

Open the phone book and call local shops. I paid $125 for a new windshield, installed, here in Phoenix. Others here have stated paying similar in other locations.

$300 is way too much.

Ive called a couple off the bigger shops around here and they are both on par with the $300 range. Im going to keep calling around. Its reassuring to hear that people are paying that range. The Safelite rep said I'm going to be putting Chinese glass on my jeep at that price lol

The US is no longer competent to make stuff, so all windshields are probably now made in China...including the ones Safelite uses.

I got quoted $235 here in North Jersey where everything is more expensive. Safelite was one of the most expensive quotes I got. Over $300.

Where ever you end up going make sure they give you a written warrenty that covers leaks. Most do but some don't.
