I have a 2000 Cherokee Classic and the front driver and passenger windows don't operate from the main switch control or the passenger control, but the both rear windows operate from the main switch and the rear doors. Is this a switch issue or what? Im currently serving overseas and its gets pretty hot and would be nice to have more windows down. Thank you in advance for your help.

I'd start by checking over the switch module and plug/connector on the driver's door.
Do your switches have the little green lights?

yes they have the green lights. sometimes I the windows will operate but then I have a problem getting them back up,

Just had this problem with my driver's side switch. It would work intermittently if I pushed into the switch and then toggled up/down. There are how-to videos if you want to break into the master control switch and resolder the connections.

I bit the bullet and ordered a brand new OEM master control switch from Amazon for 60$.
