Exclamation Window Regulator failed, window fell into door... HELP?

Hey guys, been working on my Jeep a lot lately and then all of a sudden my window falls into the passenger side door. It's a 98, power windows.

I took the panel off and unplugged the harness, and I don't know what to do from here, I have the regulator, but I am not sure how to get the window connected to the regulator, or even how to get the old one out, and the new one in....basically I am very lost.

I tried to search for DIY, or photos pertaining to this, but no luck, can someone explain or point me in the right direction?

I would appreciate it a lot, at the moment I have it held up with a folded piece of cardboard from a beer case

the glass is connected with a two piece (plastic washer set)with a bolt through it. I must be in the bottom of the door somewhere. If you can not fix this now a temporary fix would be to cut a piece of pvc pipe and wedge your window up by cuting a slit in the ends of the pvc. It worked for me till I was able to get to the junkyard to get cheap replacement parts.

There's a simple fix that involves connecting the window bracket to the worm screw via cotter pins.

http://www.lunghd.com/Tech_Articles/...ulator_Fix.htm WORKS GREAT!!!!! What a lifesaver this forum is I appreciate all the great help and information that can be found in these pages. I just completed this fix in my driveway this cold morning. It took me longer to get the right size cotter pins and cost me more in gas than the repair did.
