Default Drum brake issue

Hey guys,

So I went to replace my rear riverside wheel bearing Thursday and I had to pull the drum off. after pounding and prying we eventually got it off changed the bearing. After we changed the bearing we constricted the shoes so we could get the drum back on. Put everything back together and pull the parking brake to set the pads.

I go to take it for a test drive and I notice the peddle is pulsing and I can hear what sounds like a jerking-grinding noise from the drum I pulled off.

I adjusted the star wheel to let the pads out so that the wheel doesn't complete an entire rotation when pushed. Still has the symptoms.

Could the drum be warped?
Need new pads?

Thanks
