Default Window problem please help

My passenger side front window on my 97' xj went down when a friend was driving an wouldn't go back up I changed the motor and regulator but I'm still not getting anything. Please help I'm about to pull my hair out!!!

Ill give it a try but it was working on the driver side but now it's not could the be the problem?

Very common problem, usually will not affect drivers front though. Fuse may have went, I would check both fuse and bypass lock switch.

Now all it's doing is going down but not up

Sounds like faulty drivers door switch. Time to hit Ebay ot local junkyard.

Would the driver side switch affect the passenger side switch to?

I would say pull it apart and clean connections but, it is very difficult to get master switch setup apart without breaking. You can pull it out and try or spray it with alchol or wd or somethin but replace with a good used one may be best route.

Window lock switch on drivers panel will affect passenger side from going up and down, as well as back doors if you have em.

That happened on my 99.

Ended up being the plastic piece that the worm gear actually pushes the window piece had broken. I followed a write up where you replace the plastic piece with cotter pins wrapped around the worm gear. Worked great and has functioned properly ever since.

Maybe check that out.
