I finally got the better part of my instrument cluster to work and my windshield washer fluid is topped off. Initially the sensor was not plugged in (nor was there a bulb in the idiot light cluster), so I plugged it in and added the bulb; for the sake of everything working, as it should. Now, the Low Washer light comes on??? I was able to reset it, reach down inside the tank and set the check valve. and when I hit the washer, the light comes back on, telling me the fluid is low. I'm assuming the float valve may be sticking? Is there any way to fix it w/o replacing the sensor? If not, how would I go about getting in there to change it out? I haven't quite figured out how to disassemble the bottle to get the float valve out. Or is it an all in one assembly; the sensor and tank?

I had the same problem when I had my 95. What it was, The float was full of crud and it wouldn't float correctly. If you really want the light to work you will have to change out the float. I just unplugged it.

Well... I can definitely say that I am ready to use it to start a bon-fire. I can't complain about the price I paid for it. But, I purchased it back in September and still have yet to get it on the road. I have been working on it ever since and have been finding one problem after another. It runs ok but has all kinds of hidden quircks and issues. It's definitely become a bigger project than I wanted to tackle. I have began using it for socket set target practice, the last few weeks. The body holds up pretty well ... that's the most I can say for it so far.
As you will quickly find out the more problems you fix, the more problems you cause.
Case in point; I recently became tired of holding up the hatch with my head so I replaced the gas supports. Now there is so much resistance you have to slam the crap out of the hatch to get it to close and the lamp on the dash won't come on.
Moral of the story: Good enough is good enough
When you pull on the lever and it won't pee on the windshield, fill up the tank.

I fixed it once then it came back on and once again it doesn't turn off. But, I fixed it! I covered it with a piece of elect. tape.Thread
