Try the ones from Harbor Freight. They have mixed reviews but there is a guy by me who has replaced his Ramsey with the HF one and uses it daily on his job and says it has performed well for him for over 6 months that he has owned it.

His is the 8.000 pound one. He uses it to put up fence around well sites for the oilfield companies and like I said uses it everyday. He says it is slower than the Ramsey but He had worn the motor out on the Ramsey and was going to buy a Warn but was told he would have to wait 10 days for it to be shipped and he needed it the next day. HF had the one he bought in stock. No other choice but he did buy the warrenty.
You have the big HF distribution center close to you just north of Florence too. So they probably have what you need right there. You may have a store closer to you than that distribution center but if not that is just a short drive.

the winches are not waterproof. They are similar to milemarker winches, which are no where near waterproof. Ask me how i know
I have a HF store in pittsburgh and thinking of trying out their 8k winch when i do the in-bumper-winch-setup mod. I figured whatdahell, give it a try. If it fails, take it back

i think i will just get one with warranty and if it breaks than it breaks and i can get a new one rather than paying a million $ on another winch which i cant do anything wit if it breaks
