I see some of the problem.. Those pictures combine federal and Cali into one diagram..In the Cali emissions both Cats are in the Manifold pipe that's what mine has. All my o2 (4) sensors are in that exh manifold like in my picture...there are no sensors downstream and since I have 2 separate legs the computer can monitor and change fuel mix one bank independently from the other... In the Federal both banks are connected the entire way so only 1 cat with an in and an out...My old 92 was like that only no out sensor on the cat. On my old system the cat was about where the resonator is but it looked like a cat...your resonator looks like mine. If you only have 2 o2 sensors and no bulges in your exh manifold then you have federal emissions...Oh yea mine is an 01

Made me buy a new dual front cat when the Jeep threw a P0432.
And since I needed a new muffler and tailpipe just said screw it and replaced the whole damn thing with Walker parts.
This is the same arrogant self-centered attitude of the motorcycle guys who think louder is better, who in reality are just pissing everyone off. We really don't need more people being loud and obnoxious in the woods and encouraging those who wish to close off our favorite rec areas. Please rethink this idea.

Back to your original question...looks like a clean new clamp in front and the bolts in the resonator look ok....unbolt it and look down the middle...no-one knows exactly what should be in there...if its hollow-ish put it back in...if not then put in a straight pipe. The problem would be that back flange...getting something to bolt up to it might be difficult or it might already be a hollow tube...If both of your o2 sensors are in front of that part then its irrelevant what you do with it as far as codes are concerned
