Will this battery work?
I had a ford f150 that I just bought the battery for and I happen to put a rod through the engine. I know the battery is bigger then what goes into a jeep but would it be ok? http://www.autozone.com/autozone/par...60591_175934_0_

Actually i accidently got reversed mounts and turned the battery around and the cables were able to reach, but may not work on every case. Also those cca are like 750 and i think mine is like 680 so if you were worried about that i dont think there is anything to worry about

Too many CCA aka Cold Cranking Amps is a misnomer.
Your starter (largest power consumer on a car) will only draw what it needs.
So in reality if it needs 125 amps to turn it over that is all its going to draw.
Now if your starter starts dragging or going out and pulling copious amounts of amperage it could burn up a starter cable.
As stated already, if the cables will reach and the hood doesn't hit, and the battery itself doesn't hit a pulley your good.
