Hello All

So I was all nice and wet/Snowy/Slushy here in the Denver area, and I was out picking up my new tires and started having some weird electrical problems after I went through a big puddle. All of my passengers couldn't roll down there windows, but I could.....played with the window lock button multiple times until they finally worked and my Instrument cluster would go back and forth from working to not working. It also said "No Bus" on the odometer screen. It did it for about 10 minutes of driving and then everything was fine and has been so since.

Any Ideas as what I could have gotten wet. Looked in the engine bay by the ECU and everything was dry.

Any and all suggestions will be appreciated!

Thanks

Aaron

Look for water in the ABS controller connector. It's behind/below the brake master cylinder. The seal on the connector never was very good.

If it has water in it, use compressed air (or canned air if you are sans-compressor) to dry it and liberally apply vaseline to the rubber seal on the connector.

Well it snowed/rained here again and the same problem happened again.
It hasnt happened since the last time it was wet and snowy out, so the confirms to me that something is defiantly getting wet causing this issue.

Not sure of exactly where your problem is occurring but I'd go get some dielectric grease and smear it in every electrical connector you can find. It promotes conductivity and displaces water. I did every under hood/exterior connection on mine and have had no problems. Even doing water crossings.
