Ever perform a compression test? This should always be the first step, an engine is no more than a glorified air pump. Plus you have a baseline spec further down the road.
What's the fuel pressure in psi?

I dont consume oil so I feel a compression test would be irelevent and a fuel pressure test would be a good idea...

You need to check into why a compression test is performed.
Let's say for yuks your camshaft has a couple of wiped lobes, hence dead cylinders. Kinda silly to do anything else prior to fixing that.

dead wrong. You can still have valve issues.... Not to be rude but don't neglect the compression test, it'll tell you the true condition of the engine.
