Jeep developed a (new) noise over the past couple days- a high pitched whistling sound from the front end somewhere. it happens at very light acceleration (maintaining speed on flat ground) between 25-35mph, coasting and light braking. HOWEVER the sound changes pitch when coasting or braking to a lower whistle. doesn't seem to happen at hard acceleration or high speeds. it's a 98 Sport with the straight 6 and AW4.
i've checked all the running gear and it's in reasonably good condition, i know i have a bad transfer case but that should only affect the 4x4 right? any help would be awesome cause i'm taking it across Canada in about a month. thanks guys
