Whistle on the highway
looks like that following things could install a whistle tip in my jeep based on my research
1.drive shaft. 2. bad intake/exhaust manifold gasket 3. clogged CCV (not likely in my case as I just updated the whole system although I did not take off valve cover to check if there is any internal sludge). 4. Bad bearing in the pulley.
Ok, a little bit more about my XJ's whistle.
1. Only whistle on speed above 35 mph, no noise during idle.
2. Whistle off after pressing gas pedal, whistle on after gas off.
Jeep guru, could you help me narrow down what is the possible cause.
Thanks.
