So a month or two ago i had my tranny rebuilt. Its been running great but ever since it got it back, it has had a very faint whining sound after driving for a couple minuits on the highway. Its hard to hear unless you are next to those concrete baracades. It doesent matter wheather i have my foot on the gas, off the gas or on the break. Should i be concerned about this?

No kids. My dog knows better than to wine. And you wont catch me playing country music in my jeep.
Maby its one of those eco frendly prius's passing me! haha
I think that it started after i had it worked on. But im not positive. You have to listen to it in order to hear it. Its an automatic. Fluid looks fine, not leaking any. Could it be diff wine or somthing else? It sorta sounds like wind whistling. I just cant pinpoint where its coming from. I took off the wind gard thing on the bottom of the front bumper. Could it be wind running over the front end components?

Sounds like maybe you don't need to worry too much about it. If it's going to be a problem it will eventually let you know...I had a constant rattle at speed. Had to put the wife on the roof rack to find it. Was the little sliding deal in the roof rack slot rattling. All was quiet after a few days.
You might want to top off the differential just on G.P. since there is noise and you need to do that
anyway.....
You might want to talk to your tyranny guy. I could see him being pissed if it goes, then you take it back in and say it had been making noise!

Ive been wanting to change my diff fluid anyways so now ive got somthing to do next weekend.
If its somthing with the tranny i have a hunch that its a bearing and not the internals of the tranny.
