where is the trans control modlule
Can anyone tell me were in the heck the transmission control module is located. I have looked all over the drivers side and the passenger side.
I have a 96 xj with an aw4. any help would be great

I couldn't find mine either. The only thing I can see is the plastic covering for the heater unit and blower motor. Am I looking in the wrong place? I even pulled the glove box out and still couldn't find it.

I actually found it on the driver's side to the right of the steering colomn. But, the plug doesn't seem to be numbered the same. The first side only goes to 13 and the other side goes to 28. Does anyone know if the plugs for testing the solenoids are still C 14 15 & 16?

i don't think that's your TCM, i think that's your ECM. but i'm not familiar with 97 and up.
actually, i just realized on my 93 the ecm is under the hood, so you may be correct.
