Default Where is the TCM

I am throwing P0740 and need to figure out why my tranny is overheating... want to start at this box to trace the wiring harness. Anyone know where it is?

Most likely under the plastic panel that runs across the bottom of your dash, on the passenger side.

also just dealt with this if its newer i think either 97 or 98 and up it might be driver side like mine next to gas pedal i have a 99,also check your solenoids it might not be the tcm as the culprit i had the tcm code ,i replaced mine from a used one ended up being lock up solenoid #3,all 3 should read about 12 -`15ohms resistance cold and can go up to 18 ohms when warm,if its super high or anything above those numbers one of ur solenoids could be bad.mine had normal readings but still ended up being faulty, replaced all 3 for good measure got those used also 19$ from junk yard vs the 180$ new price.tcm was 30$.
