Default where to look first? Come on smart guys

Jeep ran fine all day. got in to run to gas station tonight and it hesitates then accels. acts like trans is slipping then goes. did it all the way there. shut her down then started it back up. did it on way back just not as bad. when got home smelled really rich. hasnt thrown a code yet but will drive tomorrow till it does then check it.

92, 4.0, cold air intake, no cat, flow 44, new 02 (within year)

suggestions?
