Default Where does this wire go?

Finally in the final stages of finishing an engine swap that took a year , and can't remember where this wire goes. It is to big to fit into the plastic guard around the hot pole of the alternator, and too short to go anywhere else other than to ground to the coil bracket or one of the mounting bolts of the alternator bracket. Top picture is a top down shot, and bottom picture is bottom up.

That was my first instinct, since it doesn't look like there is one attached to the coil bracket in your pic. There is definitely a ground of about that gauge attached to the coil bracket on my 96.
