Default where do people relocate pump in bumper?

hey everyone, i am making a new front bumper and was wondering what that round pump in the front bumper is and where people relocate them. Or do people just do away with them? what is the function of it?

that round round ball looking thing is the elusive jeep egg. take it off and put it some place warm. in two weeks you will hatch a shiny new xj. haha, move it anywhere it will fit and not be in the way.

Reroute the lines into the engine bay and fab up some new mounts for it wherever you can make it fit. That will help to protect it from trail damage also.

that to... anything that runs on vacume as you dont have much when you goose it or take off... it stores a supply of vacume to run things..

It keeps vacuum when you accelerate so your vents, cruise control.etc will still function until engine vacuum is restored. It has a check valve in it that prevents you from loosing vacuum when you accelerate. If you tossed it then your vents will shut off under havy acceleration.
