where did all the sound go???
im suprised there wasnt a better answer yet... my .02: its ghetto, but jiggle wires around where they feed into the door by drivers feet. sometimes my 4 speakers will cut out and just leave my 10's kickin. sometimes i have to open and slam drivers door, other times literally just opening it will do the trick. but either way, its something loose down by my feet. jeeps have notoriously bad wiring, so there is a high likelyhood that there is just a bad connection, or a worn out wire. it is a PITA to trace all thoes wires, but be methodical and youll get there. check right off the head unit its self, to start... good luck!

when i was a beginner on installing car radios my lights were still on for the radio but the menu did not ever show up. Later on I read it needed to have a ground connection. You fixed it already but tighten the ground up a bit so a problem like that won't happen again
Its not a fuse if the radio still powers on.
No sound is going to be speaker wire related or amp related.
Check the speaker connections behind the radio. If all are fine and you have no amp installed, the radio's internal amp is blown (causing no sound).

ok so it went out again last night but all i did was kinda wiggle it around with out taking any thing off and it ncame back on after a bit of wiggeling it does that mean that there is some sort of lose connection on the back somewhere
Its probably the speaker harness (or connections, depending how you did it), OR....worst case scenario, the radio has something broken or loose internally. But for now, assume its loose speaker connections and see if you can get the radio out to confirm and fix.
^ +1, check the harness on the back of the head unit. Make sure it's connected all the way (usually they'll click when they lock in place).
Also check the wires where they connect to the same harness connector. Something could be worn out and trying to come loose.
