i was diving my xj today and my radio worked just fine turn her off to fill up on gas and when i turn her nack on no radio and it was to dark to look for anything wong. the cd player and radio both work there is just no sound. do you think its a fuse or somethin??

 

Did it fade or anything while you were driving?

 

no when i turned it back on there was just nothing

 

Do you have an amp installed? Speakers running off the amp? maybe a fuse to the amp if so?

If not, maybe the radio's internal amp is on the fritz.....possible it went bad, but that's be pretty odd to just die like that by shutting it off.

 

nope no amp hooked up thats why im so flustered i have no clue what it could be i dont have my jeep right now so i cant check anything, but it wouldnt be a fuse would it. cuz if it was the whole thing probably wouldnt work right??

fuse very possible what year xj, check for other thing not working dome light,turn signals ect

 

everything else works thats why im at such a loss.dome lights blinkers glove box light everything still works. even the lights on the radio and i can hear the cd spinning so i dont know what it is
