how about behind the plastic trim on the quarter panel only problem is you would have to take off the trim to reach the box , the rear seat may not be such a good place to put electronics... just my 2 cents

I ran a 90w 4 head Whelen kit in my Grand Am. I put the power supply behind the plastic that was next to the back seat.

In an XJ you should be able to tuck this power pack behind the plastic in the rear cargo area and still have enough cable to reach the head/tail lights.

Is there any benefit to having strobes? I spent 200+ on the Whelen lights for my Grand Am because it was basically a riced out show car. What good would these do in a 4x4? Or should I wait for my wife to get her State/Fed EMS Lisc. and put them in her Durango?
