where can I get new or reman 4.2 rods. I am starting a stroker project and I need rods. I can get the crankshaft locally at Autozone for $200 but they do not sell connecting rods. I have called NAPA Advanced auto and Autozone and noone can get me connecting rods.

Most get them off ebay/Craigslist.

Not sure of a vendor that sells remans online.

Rods, http://www.shop.505performance.com/c...?categoryId=29

Crank, http://www.shop.505performance.com/c...?categoryId=33

The cranks are not forged but SCAT can make you a forged crank. It will cost lots of $$$ though. SCAT also makes a cast stroker crank setup for the 4.0 block.

Beautiful. Just what I was looking for.

I'll be doing some serious work to the 4.0, and forged is probably necessary.

And $1000 is still not a bad price for what I'm asking.
