Talking wheels question

whats up guys i needed some help with wheel selection. im planning on buying cragar soft 8s for my 89 cherokee but i wanted the wheel to stick out slightly pass or to be the same as the fender flare and seeing as most of you guys have these kind of wheels i was hoping you guys could help me get the right size rim.

15x8 rim with either 4 inches of backspacing is what I would go with...

15x7 4" backspacing crager soft-8

They stick out approx 1/2" from the fender, barely noticeable. The tread is under the fender but the sidewall is what sticks out.

I now run 15x8 3.75" pro comp steelies and they rub when turning. I wish my crager set was a good set and i wouldn't have had to trim. The crager set i got had two out of round wheels (from summit racing). I didn't want to take any more chances so i got the stronger pro comp wheels instead but they only had 3.75" backspacing. Oh well....it sticks out about an inch or so but not too bad.
