Default Wheel Upgrade Help (Be Gentle Newbie to the Jeep/Tire World)

I don't have a lift (no plans on horizon to get a lift). My current tires: 235/75R/15. Stock Rims.

Saw a set of Rims on Craigslist. For $100.00 for Set of 4 American Racing chrome steel wheels for Jeep, 5x4.5 bolt pattern, 15x7 rim size, 4" backspacing for a moderately more aggressive stance.

(1) What is backspacing? (2) This wheel set is 15" so I believe it should fit my current tires; if I am wrong let me know. (3) Is $100.00 a good deal for these, or should I keep what I have.

Thank Forum..

I think they are cool but if you ever want like 32s or bigger you should get 15x8, so maybe sticking with stock unless you either aren't going much bigger or have $100 and aren't really worried about spending the money for some nice looking rims.

get some cragar soft 8's. they have a negative offset, meaning the wheel will stick out a littlefurther, giving you the aggressive stance that you want. they are very affordable. got all 5 shipped to my house for 214 from summit racing.

Stock rims r 5.25" back spacing, the measurement from the backside wheel center to the edge of the rim. The rims in the pic will move/space the tires out 1.25" each side, 2.5" total. Google wheel back space/dimensions and become an expert. Bask space is usually referred to with regard to wheels on rear wheel drive vehicles....offset is usually referred to regarding wheels on front wheel drive vehicles.

Do it. Good deal if you like them. Your tires will fit.
