Default Wheel Question

My dad is offering to get me a set of craiger soft 8's for x-mas. Now what i need to know is the offset so i can tell him. im gonna go with 15x7 like stock. but i want them a half inch further out to make up for the space left over from the stock wheels. i have about a half inch gap between the wheel and outer fender flare

On offset what is your plans for the future? If you plan to stay at stock get 4.75 BS if you plan on going high on the lift go 4 or 3.75 BS.. So basically what you get depends on your future plans.

I agree the future plans for the Jeep will determine which wheel backspacing is going to be best in your particular case.

heres your options. 4 inch or 4.25 Backspacing. I would just go with the 4" its the most common.

Like Noob says that will work with either of those lifts.

but will 4 or 4.25 keep me inside the flares because Pa is really strict when it comes to that stuff.

ya can't have it both ways.

If you lift...you will need the back spacing. Thus it pushes the tires out. At some point you will need extended flares.

If you don't get enough back spacing, you rub the tires and wear them out...thus replacing them often at 500-600 a pop.

Get the 3.75 or 4"...Deal with the flare issue. You will be setup in the end for a lift and wheeling.
