just a quick question

will wheels from a 2001 wrangler fit an older XJ....the ad on craigs says there 5 x 4.5 so im thinking theyd fit

87 XJ 4.0

The back spacing may be different than an XJ but I'm fairly certain they are the same.

will diffrent backspacing be much of a problem

If you are running stock or near stock tire size it won't be an issue at all.

Yeah you should have no problems at all... and I am pretty sure early 2000 wranglers have the SAME wheel dimensions. Good luck with the wheels man, I think a lot of the wrangler rims look pretty sharp.
