Default Wheel joints....

I have a late model 96 manufact. date 10/6/96. I think i have a 29 spline rear 8.25 axle. When i did my passenger wheel joint up front i went to autozone and they asked abs or non-abs. I said non-abs seeing as how i dont have it. The u joint was alot smaller in bearing cup diameter when i went back and said abs they gave me the right one. Is it possible Jeep put bigger axle joints in mine because of the 29 spline axle? Im not 100% sure its a 29 spline. Someone showed me 2 yokes from the 29 spline and 27 spline and mine is the one he says corresponds with the 29 spline axle. The yoke and the wheel joints leave me to believe it is a 29 spline. any help?

Is it possible that someone swapped the 8.25 29 spline into it?

Really? Again?

SIGH......

The only way to know whether you have 29 spline shafts is to count the splines.

No IF's, No And's, No But's.
Nothing else.
No shortcuts.
No magical yoke.

Hardly.

This subject has come up almost as many times as Deathwobble or What size tires fit?

I know that's all I can do. But seeing as I just did my rear diff I'm not doing it again until needed so ill never know until then. I'm asking about why are my wheel joints bigger than normal d30 wheel joints?

My reply wasn't to you.

Early and mid 90's XJ's came with larger u-joints for ABS equipped rigs, smaller joints for non-abs.

IIRC, 95 saw all 297/760 size joints.
